Look at this amazing view from our school kitchen where Chef Jan has prepared a WONDERFUL lunch for our little students. Today’s menu featured made-from-scratch orange chicken, whole grain brown rice, seasoned cooked zucchini, fresh peaches, and milk. We are all a bit jealous of the selection and quality of food that the children are able to partake of throughout each day. Chef Jan is our newest addition to Eastside Children’s Academy and comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience! She works very hard to tailor the menu to include a number of nutritionally balanced options, which highlight flavors and textures that young and inquisitive minds enjoy. She is trained in preparing gluten free, vegan, nut free and dairy free options.
Raising three daughters on a Vermont farm gave Chef Jan a deep appreciation of the importance of what we feed our children. She has over 10 years of experience as a Chef with private schools, successful bakeries and cafes, catering, and traveling while teaching culinary classes for all ages. We are truly fortunate to call her our Chef and we look forward to seeing what meals she continues to whip up in the kitchen!
