This is a trying time for many families who are sheltering-in-place with small children at home. Many parents don’t know how to keep their children busy while they are working with a child underfoot, let alone how to keep them busy with educational activities throughout the day. Being a teacher of preschool aged children is a very challenging task, but teaching our students is something that Eastside Children’s Academy is committed to regardless of where in the world our students are. Having a familiar face and voice to see and hear is very reassuring to many children.
Check out one of our students in India who is participating in story time with Ms. Lilly and Mrs. Muli…
…and another who is participating in a special Zoom “morning meeting (circle time)” with Ms. Hill for two students who are both in China as they shelter-in-place.
Technology can be such a wonderful thing during difficult times like these! Continue to join us online through our “Online Connections” web page for more helpful videos and links that can help keep your child connected to their classroom teachers & friends.

Look at this amazing view from our school kitchen where Chef Jan has prepared a WONDERFUL lunch for our little students. Today’s menu featured made-from-scratch orange chicken, whole grain brown rice, seasoned cooked zucchini, fresh peaches, and milk. We are all a bit jealous of the selection and quality of food that the children are able to partake of throughout each day. Chef Jan is our newest addition to Eastside Children’s Academy and comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience! She works very hard to tailor the menu to include a number of nutritionally balanced options, which highlight flavors and textures that young and inquisitive minds enjoy. She is trained in preparing gluten free, vegan, nut free and dairy free options.
In addition to the physical development that we help children develop, we are also fortunate enough to have Dizzy’s Tumble Bus provide an extra curricular activity to Eastside Children’s Academy students! Services will start tomorrow, September 4th at 2:45 PM. Children ages 18 months and up are able to participate.
